This event is based on a collaboration initiated by a consultancy of Practical Action for Biovision Foundation. The research brings together 2 disciplines (agroecology and market systems development) that have not been brought together before. Its focus is on growth oriented Agroecological Enterprises (as markets for smallholder farmers) and the need for product/service demand and enabling market systems for the development of agroecological enterprises.

The webinar will provide a short overview over the process, products and methodology of the study and then zoom in on a consumer demand and market systems analysis in selected subsectors/focus products.

This conversation is part of pre-activities ahead of an upcoming launch of a membership based and driven Community of Practice on Agroecology Entrepreneurship in East Africa (AEE CoP). This AEE CoP is designed to amplify and accelerate learning on Agroecology Entrepreneurship by building common knowledge, insights, materials and tools, in turn accelerating East Africa's transition towards Agroecology.
