In the unfolding narrative of our global commitment to transform agrifood systems, we embark on a three-year journey encapsulated in COP28, COP29, and COP30, each step bearing distinct significance in our collective pursuit.

It begins with COP28, a pivotal juncture where the curtains rise on the grand unveiling of the global roadmap. Set to commence on a momentous Sunday, the 10th of December 2023, this inaugural presentation marks the genesis of our comprehensive vision.

Transitioning seamlessly to COP29, our focus intensifies as we delve into the intricate details at the regional level. The narrative evolves from the broad global perspective to a nuanced examination, underscored by a meticulous costing exercise of proposed actions. The unveiling of «Volume 2» at this juncture not only refines our approach but also introduces a financial dimension, essential for prioritizing actions within the 10 domains central to our mission.

Finally, we arrive at the climactic conclusion in COP30. This closing chapter sees the emergence of «Volume 3,» a culmination of our endeavors, featuring the much-anticipated «Country Action Plans.» As we immerse ourselves in country-level analysis, our efforts extend to the crucial realms of monitoring and accountability, ensuring that our commitment translates into tangible, sustainable outcomes.

The underlying ambition throughout this intricate process is to harmonize the diverse initiatives and transformation pathways undertaken by nations as part of the Food Systems Summit. Simultaneously, we collaborate closely with countries to safeguard the essence of good food for today and tomorrow.

Recognizing the complexity of this endeavor, we have strategically divided the process across three years. This deliberate pacing allows ample time for countries to wholeheartedly embrace our vision, fostering a collective commitment that will find its culmination in COP30—a momentous occasion set to unfold in the vibrant landscape of Brazil. The trilogy of COPs encapsulates our dedication to ushering in a transformative era in global agrifood systems, uniting nations in a shared narrative of progress and sustainability.
