The 10th summit of the European Political Community will take place in Zurich
Bern, 25.09.2026 — In April 2027, Switzerland will host the 10th meeting of the heads of state and government of the European Political Community, bringing together around 50 countries as well as several international organisations. At its meeting on 25 September 2026, the Federal Council decided that the summit will be held in Zurich at The Circle conference centre. The European Political Community has been meeting twice a year since the end of 2022.
At a time when geopolitical tensions are mounting and multilateral structures are fragmenting, the European Political Community (EPC) provides an informal platform for dialogue across the continent. It brings together 47 European heads of state and government, as well as representatives of international organisations. Such summits facilitate discussions at the highest level on current issues such as security and competitiveness. The EPC thus helps to strengthen mutual trust through regular, direct contact. Switzerland has taken part since the initial meeting in Prague in October 2022.
Switzerland: a platform for dialogue and cooperation
The summit will take place in April 2027 at The Circle conference centre. Thanks to its close proximity to Zurich Airport and its modern facilities, the venue offers particularly favourable conditions for hosting an international meeting of this scale.

The Canton of Zurich has declared its readiness to support the federal government in the preparation and running of the summit.
The next EPC summit will take place on 12 November 2026 in Dublin, where Switzerland will be represented by the president of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin.
