What do you do at the Food system section?
I joined the Section Food System on 1st of August, and it has been a great privilege to work with dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues and partners.
What do you love/what is special about your work?
What I love most in my work is to work on core development issues such as food security and well-functioning and sustainable food systems. Every day, I have the chance to collaborate with key experts in nutrition, agroecology, agricultural research, private sector engagement to make a difference.
What is your favourite quote and why?
My favorite guiding quote is one attributed to Mahatma Gandhi: «Be the change you wish to see in the world», because change starts with and will happen through our very own actions. This is this coherence that I try to apply in my work, whether on food systems, climate change, or gender. After 16 years of work for SDC in Nepal, Switzerland, Tajikistan and India, I am looking forward to collaborating with many of you during the next 12 months in Zollikofen!
